If px has hx of knee pain, do patello-femoral grinding test
-Compress the patella against the underlying femur.
-Push patella distally and ask the px to tighten knee.
-Flex and extend the knee and note for pain and crepitus. This might indicate osteoporosis.
For Screening of meniscal injuries:
-Feel for tenderness along tibial margin by flexing the knee to about 90 deg and with the thumb press tibiofemoral joint.
-If positive>>>
o Mc murray’s test.
-Compress the patella against the underlying femur.
